Bronxville Reformed Church Hosts Conversation on Gun Violence

SNUG Program Manager Robert Carter, Family Services of Westchester (FSW), Mount Vernon, appeared at a “Community Conversation on the Crisis of Gun Violence” at Bronxville Reformed Church (BRC) on September 8th.  According to Carter, the goal at SNUG (guns spelled backwards) is to reverse shooting deaths, creating an awareness campaign by conducting special activities that speak out against violence.

ArtsFest 2022 Set for October 20th – 23rd

ArtsFest 2022 – an exciting weekend-long celebration of the arts — will take place in New Rochelle and Pelham from October 20th through 23rd . Organized by the non-profit New Rochelle Council on the Arts (NRCA) ArtsFest spotlights the diversity of arts and artists in our community, with open studios, live music and dance, film screenings, pop-up art exhibits, a classic car show focused on design, a spoken word event with the acclaimed READ650, and interactive activities for all ages.

Local Writer Publishes New Novel

Kevin Pilkington, a member of the writing faculty at Sarah Lawrence College has a new novel, just published this September entitled Taking on Secrets (September 1, 2022; Blue Jade Press; Trade Paperback).
