Pedestrian Safety Pressing Concern at Village Board Meeting

Bronxville Mayor Mary C. Marvin convened a meeting of Elm Rock Road residents before the Regular Meeting, on November 14th to discuss installing a Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB), standard crosswalk signage with actuated flashing LED lights.  This was part of the Bronxville Safe Routes to School Concept Plan, Elm Rock Road-Oriole Avenue to White Plains Road.

Earlier this year, the Board of Legislators approved a proposal from the County Executive to suspend sales tax on home energy costs.

Governor Hochul Announces Actions to Prevent Hate Crimes and Protect New Yorkers

Governor Kathy Hochul announced actions to prevent hate crimes, promote tolerance, and protect New Yorkers. The Governor signed two pieces of legislation to support hate crime prevention and education efforts, building on the administration’s efforts to increase funding to protect targets of hate crimes and increase surveillance and protection for communities at risk. 

Latimer Launches Annual Holiday Gift Drive

Westchester County’s 17th Annual Holiday Gift Drive is underway.

The drive, which helps provide holiday gifts to children in the County’s foster care, homeless and other child services programs, was kicked off by County Executive George Latimer at special event Thursday, November 17, in the County’s Michaelian Office Building in White Plains.
