A tranquil, cool Bronxville evening was the setting of the third Bronxville Chamber of Commerce Summer Concert on August 25 on Parkway Road, Leonard Morange Square, featuring music by “Plan B.” The final concert is slated for September 15th on Park Place at 6:30pm.

“The Bronxville Chamber of Commerce brings free events to the community like the street concert we are having here tonight,” Bronxville Chamber of Commerce President Leah Caro stated.  “We set up the tables, chairs, bring in the band and everyone can come who lives nearby for free. In return we ask that they do one thing, that they shop local.  It is integral that we keep our business district thriving.”

Caro thanked their merchant sponsors as well as NYPresbyterian-Lawrence Hospital and Village of Bronxville.

Plan B players encompassed Tom Davies, Bass; Bill Donner, Keyboards; Brian Fetherstonhaugh, Guitar/Harmonica; Lead Vocals, Kreg Gotschall; Ken Nichols, Drummer and Lead Guitar Scott Sherman.

“It is fantastic to be out in the streets of Bronxville again,” Fetherstonhaugh said.  “We play a number of gigs here and probably have done 20 in total over the years.  We get from 2-year-olds to 80 plus year old’s out and just have a blast.”

The performance included Beatles tunes Here Comes the Sun; I Saw Her Standing There; Lady Madonna; along with Johnny Cash’s Folsom Prison Blues; Bachman-Turner-Overdrive’s Taking Care of Business; Steely Dan’s Rikki Don’t Lose that Number; Aqualung  by Jethro Tull; Elvis’s Burning Love; a Who Medley, including Pinball; Kiss’s Domino; Grand Funk Railroad’s We’re an American Band; the Doors’ Touch Me and a special request for Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline.
