Governor Hochul Unveils Portrait Carving Immortalizing Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in The New York State Capitol
On August 21, Governor Kathy Hochul officially unveiled a carving of Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court and Brooklyn native Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the New York State Capitol’s Great Western Staircase. Justice Ginsburg’s family was in attendance.
Passing of PAC Executive Director, Charlotte Mouquin Voznesenskaya
Charlotte Mills Mouquin Voznesenskaya, 41, of Valley Cottage, died unexpectedly of natural causes on August 25, 2023. Born in New York, NY, Charlotte was an adored wife, loving and pure-hearted mother, dear daughter, fun-loving sister, gregarious aunt, and amazing friend.

Just in time for the 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party in 2023! For all its genteel connotations, the history of tea is steeped in espionage, rebellion, and the rise of an Empire. Join Anglophile and former UK resident Claire Evans to explore the background of the most lucrative corporate venture the world has ever known and the product it brought to the West at any cost. With a nod to the popular “Bridgerton” series, learn how tea infused British society from top to bottom and what to expect should you ever find yourself at afternoon tea. Presented by: Claire Evans is a former journalist, attorney, and college lecturer who started her love of most things British as she and her mother watched countless Britcoms on PBS. She went on to study abroad in London and, against the odds, she married a Brit she met in Peoria, Illinois. They moved to England, where they lived for a number of years. Outside of her work for a legal advice charity, Claire became a student of historical sights, pub dining, and tea shops.
