60s Groovin’ for a Good Cause

Good vibes filled the Bronxville Public Library on April 19, 2024!
It was a 60s-themed spring cocktail party spotlighting authors from an Era of Expression like Truman Capote, Maya Angelou, and Jack Kerouac.
Patrons wore psychedelic colors and enjoyed signature cocktails that were shaken, not stirred. They also nibbled on appetizers including sushi, pulled pork sliders and tuna tacos.
The evening’s D.J. got folks dancing; plus, there was a far-out silent auction with items ranging from an autographed Paul McCartney guitar to a signed Patrick Mahomes football and a Taylor Swift autographed LP, among others. What fun!
A big thank you to the sponsors Houlihan Lawrence Realty, Prep Academy Tutors, and Iona University and to major donors including Rosie Amodio & Rob Rosenberg, Gemma Clark & Clarke Sands, Amy & Anthony Civale, Deirdre & Michael Doheny, Mark & Carmela Callahan, Kathleen & Chris Collins, Diana & Robert Deichert, Robert & Caitlin Edsall, Kathy & Donald Gray, Shirley & Joseph Kleumper, Mr. Peter & Dr. Jocelyn Luongo, Carolyn & Patrick Mattson, Lauren & Dan Toal, and Deborah Van Eck.
The party was hosted by the Friends of the Bronxville Public Library (FOBPL). Proceeds go to fund special FOBPL projects and for programming at the library.
