Bronxville Elementary School First Graders Celebrate Special People in Their Lives
From grandparents to mom, dad, aunts, uncles and family friends, Bronxville Elementary School first graders shared a special celebration at school with their favorite people on May 10.
The celebration, “Special to Me Day,” was designed for the students to express gratitude to the special people in their lives. They created a personalized picture frame and a class video, describing what they loved about their special guests, that they presented to them at the event.
“During ‘Special to Me Day,’ the students shared their gift with their special person, read books, shared their video, had a breakfast treat with them, and sang them a special song they had learned in music class,” first grade teacher Kathryn Westerheim said.
